Superior Court guilty pleas heard

The following cases were disposed of in the Superior Court of Miller County, State of Georgia last week.

• Bobby Allen Smith pled guilty to one count of terroristic threats and acts and one count of possession of firearms by a convicted felon, was sentenced to five years probation for the first offense and five years to be served consecutively for the second offense and was banished from Pataula Circuit and Baker County. Court Cost: $140

• William Monroe Johnson pled guilty to one count of possession of cocaine, was sentenced to 15 years probation and fined $2,000, Court Cost: $1,748.75

• Hinton James Bryant pled guilty to one count of simple battery and one count of obstruction of an officer, was sentenced 12 months probation for the first offense and fined $500. Court Cost: $323.75

•Lynda Gail Warren pled guilty to one count of sale of Alprazolam, was sentenced to 10 years of probation and fined $4,000. Court Cost: $3,248.75

• Jody M. Talley pled guilty to one count of aggravated assault, was sentenced to 20 years probation and banished from Pataula Circuit with restitution of $2,374 and a fine of $1,000, Court Cost: $470

• Mark Anthony Freeman pled guilty to theft by taking, was sentenced to 10 years probation with restitution of $7,500 and a fine of $100, Court Cost: $121.25

• Chrisone Nashae Williams pled guilty to three counts of theft by taking and three counts of theft by deception, was sentenced to 10 years probation and banished from Pataula Circuit with restitution of $2,800 and a fine of $1,000, Court Cost: $470

• Alice Mae Benton pled guilty nolo contendere to one count of possession of cocaine, was sentenced 10 years probation and fined $1,000, Court Cost: $970

• Brandon D. Jefferson pled guilty to one count of statutory rape, was sentenced to 20 years probated sentenced and fined $500, Court Cost: $345

• Henry L. Williams pled guilty to one count of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and one count of possession of marijuana, was sentenced to 15 years probation and fined $2,000, Court Cost: $1,748.75

• Arthur Lee Huntley pled guilty nolo contendere to one count of possession of cocaine, was sentenced 15 years probation and was fined $2,000. Court Cost: $1,748.75

• Billy Jim Cherry Jr. pled guilty nolo contendere to one count of possession of cocaine, was sentenced 15 years probation and fined $2000, Court Cost: $1,748.75

• Robert Lee Dykes pled guilty to one count of possession of cocaine, was sentenced to 15 years probation and fined $2,000. Court Cost: $1,748.50

• Alvario Deramus Smith pled guilty to two counts of theft by taking (concurrent) and two counts of identity fraud, was sentenced to 8 years concurrent with Count 1 and 3, sentenced 10 years, on Count 3, Count 4 and 5 (Identity Fraud) 10 years for each charge, consecutive with Count 1, was fined $1,000, Court Cost: $470

• Derrick Lamar Wade pled guilty to one count of aggravated assault, was sentenced to 10 years probation and fined $1,000, Court Cost: $470

• Jamie Lynn Walker pled guilty to three counts of forgery in the first degree, was sentenced to 10 years probation with restitution of $754.50 and fine of $500. Court Cost: $373.75

•Mark Merritt Sr. pled guilty to two counts of simple battery, was sentenced to 12 months probation and 10 days in jail on Count 1; Count 2, 12 months probated sentence, to serve consecutively with first count, have no contact (except casual) with victims or families (Terry Toole, Tammy Richardson, Uva Mason, Wanda Griffin, Melissa Young), no firearms in immediate possession with a restitution of $723.50 and fineof $2,000.
