Joyce's Jog to benefit breast cancer research

My name is Bailey Ponder and last January I lost my Aunt Joyce to breast cancer. She was one of those people that when someone met her, they remembered her. She always put others first and never complained. She would always do things for other people and didn't ask for anything in return. She always had a smile on her face and always had something nice to say. That is something that I will always remember. She came to all the ball games, recitals, school programs or anything special to us. She would find time to take us to movies, shopping, or do other things any time she could. Her death motivated me to raise money for breast cancer so others will not have to go through the pain of cancer or of losing a loved one to cancer. This year at the Harvest Festival there will be a 5K race and a 1 mile fun run/walk called Joyce's Jog in memory of my aunt, Joyce Henley. Proceeds from the race will go to Breast Cancer research. The race will be October 20 at 8:00 AM beginning at the Chamber of Commerce in Donalsonville.
