Bainbridge Public Safety Investigator Alton Brock has arrested 41-year-old Calvin Williams of Colquitt and charged him with child molestation.

Calvin Williams is a registered sex offender convicted in November 1992 for child molestation.

Public Safety Officer Kenneth Ellison reports he responded to the home last Wednesday. The mother of the child told him that she hired Calvin Williams to work on her vehicle. The mother left to go to the store, and Mr. Williams went into the house and into a bedroom. He called the 12-year-old juvenile in, and when she came into the bedroom, he picked her up, kissed her on the mouth and fondled her.

When the mother returned home, the girl told her what had happened. The mother questioned Williams as to why he did that, and he told her that the 12-year-old looked sad, so he kissed her. She reported the incident, and the arrest and charges against Williams were made by the Bainbridge Public Service investigator in charge of the case.
