Ms. Pauline is 90 years young
Ms. Pauline was born September 15, 1917, to Rufus and Missouri McDowell. She married Sam Gardner, and to the couple were born 11 children, nothing under eight pounds. Mr. Sam worked at the fire department at the air base in Bainbridge. Mr. Sam (known as Big Daddy) passed away on September 17, 1990. Along with 11 children, seven boys and four girls, she has 27 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. Along with family and friends, special guests at the party were David and Donna Ruiz, who traveled from San Antonio, Texas. They have been family friends for over 60 years. They call Ms. Pauline mother and refer to all of her kids as brothers and sisters. Ms. Pauline now lives at Miller Nursing Home in Colquitt in Room 27. She likes to have visitors so stop by to see her when you get a chance or just give her a call at 229-758-5640. |
