Law Enforcement Reports Theft by Taking On September 7, 2007, Wendell Knight came to the Sheriff's Officeand reported a boat motor that had been taken. Knight advised that his uncle, James Holmes, had given the motor to Jennifer and Deloris Hicks to sell. The Hicks were to sell the motor and give the money to Mr. Knight. As of now he had not received the money or the motor. Motorcycle Accident On September 4, 2007, Jarrod Sanford Kyles, of Colquitt came by the Sheriff's Office and advised he had been in a motorcycle accident the previous night. Mr. Kyles advised he was riding a Kawasaki Ninja 100 and attempted to turn right when he lost control of the motorcycle. The motorcycle fell on Mr. Kyles' right ankle. Missing Cell Phone On September 4, 2007, Andrea Salter of Damascus came to the police department and advised that her cell phone was missing. It was a Samsung A930 black flipcamera phone. It was last seen on September 3, 2007 in her car. Accident On September 7, 2007, Laura Hall of Colquitt was backing her vehicle up and stated that she did not see a 1997 Honda Accord belonging to Elaine Black of Colquitt parked behind her and backed into it. Both vehicles were damaged. On September 9, 2007, Kristi Johnson of Donalsonville stated that she was backing out of the Rite Aid parking lot and did not see Vanessa C. Moore's vehicle and backed into it. The back bumper of Moore's vehicle was damaged. On September 3, 2007, John Brandon Cox of Damascus backed into a 2004 Honda Civic belonging to Maria Mock of Colquitt that was parked behind him. Cox was found to be at fault for improper backing. Disorderly Conduct On September 2, 2007, OfficerLonnie Wade was dispatched to the emergency room in reference to an assault. Upon arrival, he spoke to William Rhodes, who stated that while at the residence an altercation took place. Rhodes stated that during the altercation, the offender, Betty Jean Molten stabbed him with a knife. After further investigating, Ms. Molten was charged and transported to county jail for booking. |
