Hill, Thompson to wed

Britany Hill and Matt Thompson

Jim and Lesa Cannon of Tallahassee, FL, and Clem Hill of Tifton announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Britany Elizabeth Hill, to Matthew Scott Thompson, son of Devaughn Thompson of Colquitt and Debra Thompson of Bainbridge.

The future bride is the granddaughter of Remus and Wanda Matthews of Bainbridge and the late Claude and Betty Hill of Tifton.

Britany is a 2001 graduate of Thomasville High School. She attended Valdosta State University and is currently one semester away from graduating with a degree in early childhood education. She plans to complete her education in Tallahassee and one day open up her own daycare.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Eager and Nancy Thompson of Colquitt.

Matt graduated from Miller County High School in 2001 and Valdosta State University in 2007, with a degree in biology. He is currently the manager of a privately owned business.

The wedding will take place on Sunday, October 14, 2007, at Gin Creek Plantation in Moultrie. Invitations will be sent.
