CHARLES LEE "CHARLIE" MIDDLETON

Mr. Charles Lee "Charlie" Middleton, age 97, of Bainbridge passed away Friday, September 7, 2007.

Funeral services were held Sunday, September 9, at 2:00 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William J. Frank officiating.

Mr. Middleton was born in Miller County, the son of the late Robert T. and Chloe Newberry Middleton. He was a member of Red Hill Baptist Church and had lived in Decatur County most of his life. He loved fishing, gardening and wrestling. He is survived by three daughters, Earlene (Fred) Worthy of Bainbridge, Nell (Jessie) Hatton and Linda (Clarence), both of Donalsonville; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one daughter, Margaret Dodson, and one son, Edward Middleton.

Cox Funeral home was in charge of the arrangements.
