Dinkelmeyer, Holzknecht wed

Mrs. Brian Douglas Dinkelmeyer
Kelley Lee Holzknecht and Brian Douglas Dinkelmeyer were united in marriage on July 14, 2007, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sylva, North Carolina. A reception (including an "Elvis" DJ) was held in Cherokee, North Carolina, following the ceremony.

Kelley is the daughter of Larry and Pat Holzknecht and the granddaughter of the late Mr. L. H. Holzknecht and Mrs. Margaret Holzknecht of Indiana and the late Mr. Rufus Kelley and Mrs. Rosa Lee Wells Kelley Bohannon, formerly of Colquitt. Kelley's sister, Theresa Holzknecht Steers, resides in Columbus with her husband, Jim, and two sons, Jackson and Charley.

Brian is the son of Charles and Marilyn Dinkelmeyer of Long Island, New York.

The bride wore a satin strapless A-line dress trimmed with black embroidery detail and a white veil trimmed in black ribbon. She carried red roses and was escorted down the aisle by her father. Her nephew, Jackson, served as the ring-bearer in the ceremony, and her sister served as matron of honor. The bride's other nephew, Charley, ate the bubbles blown by guests at the reception as she and her groom left at the end of the evening. The groom's nieces served as flower girls, and his brother served as best man.

The bride and groom will continue to reside in Cullowhee, North Carolina, where they both are professors in the Department of Chemistry and Physics at Western Carolina University. They can be reached at Dinkelmeyer, P.O. Box 3876, Cullowhee, NC 28723.
