GRACE JONES DAVIS

Mrs. Grace Jones Davis, age 101, died Tuesday, August 28, 2007, at Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley, FL.

Mrs. Davis was born in Sumter County on February 27, 1906, to the late James C. and Nannie Lou Jenkins Jones. She worked for many years as a secretary and was married to Hanx Davis, who preceded her in death. She was of the Baptist faith.

Funeral services were held Thursday, August 30, at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Evans- Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Luther Hastey officiating. Interment followed at Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville.

Survivors include two sisters, Mary V. Jones, Hattisburg, MS, and Louise Rudd, DuBach, LA; two nieces; one nephew; and several other family members.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
