The FFA Wood Working Team
Howdy, everybody! I hope the week's going good for y'all. It has been a good week for the FFA. Ferns have been planted, benches have been built, jackets have been ordered, and dues have been paid. Speaking of dues, don't forget to pay them. They are still $10.00, and if you want a Miller County FFA t-shirt, they are $6.00 extra

As soon as you pay your dues, you are eligible to participate in local tractor driving contest which will be August 28. There is a signup sheet in the ag office, and there are approximately 28 people already signed-up, so you better sign up quick.

Our first meeting will take place on Tuesday, August 21, at 7:30. If you plan on coming to the meeting, there is a sign-up sheet in the ag office; if you plan on eating, you need to sign up. There will only be enough food for those who sign-up to eat. We will meet in the Miller County High School lunchroom. Your dues do not have to be paid for this meeting.

This week's member of the week is Nikki Griffin. Nikki is the daughter of Mark and Suzanne Griffin. Nikki is a junior in high school, and this is her sixth year as an active member of the FFA. She currently holds the Chapter FFA degree. Nikki will be participating in several CDE's this year. Nikki will begin showing hogs this October and February. This is her favorite competition. Nikki plans to participate in livestock judging and forestry field days this year. That's all I have for now. Don't forget to get your dues paid so that you don't miss out on all that's going on this year. The deadline is October 10, and can be paid to Mr. Bill or any FFA officer.
