Nursing Home News
Sunday, First Baptist Church had Sunday School; then in the afternoon Kimbrel's Chapel shared with us. Monday morning, we began our week off with a Bible study. The Miller County Volunteers met to discuss the upcoming events. If you would like to become a volunteer, you will receive a blessing from it. You may contact us in the Activities Department to findout how you can get involved. Monday afternoon the residents had a time of "Mothballs in My Attic." This was a time for residents to remember and share how things used to be as the memories rolled. Tuesday morning, we started our day with bingo. After lunch the ladies spent the afternoon having their nails painted. The men had their first men's club. They spent time having a root-beer and seeing who could come up with the biggest tale. First Baptist came again Wednesday morning to share with the residents. That afternoon they also hosted the monthly birthday party which was a big success. Kingdom Corps came to share in song Wednesday evening. Thursday morning, we had another round of bingo; then we remembered Elvis by watching "Girls, Girls, Girls." Friday, James Judkin's from Colquitt Freewill came to whistle a few tunes and share from God's Word. We ended our week with a little sweat by participating in a few exercises. As always, we would like to thank everyone who takes part in the activities here at Miller Nursing Home.
