DOROTHY "DOT" DRINKWATER POLLOCK Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Drinkwater Pollock, age 84, of Bainbridge, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2007, at her residence. Funeral services were held Saturday, August 18, at 11:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Poppell and Rev. Paul Medley officiating. Burial followed in Roselawn Memory Gardens. Mrs. Pollock was born in Decatur County to the late Robert Henry and Rennie Floyd Drinkwater. She was a member of First Baptist Church and had lived most of her life in Decatur County. She and husband Dr. Charles Pollock served many years in the ministry in Decatur County and the surrounding area. She is survived by her husband Dr. Charles Pollock of Bainbridge; one son, David L. Pollock of Bainbridge; a sister Doris House of Lanett, AL; three grandchildren, Robbie, Shanna and Katie; three greatgrandchildren, Cayden, Taryn and Tessa; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Laura Golden, and a son, Charles Timothy Pollock. Pallbearers were Jerry Pollock, J.B. Swicord, John Swicord, Seth House, Jeremy Pollock and David Kendrick. Cox Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. |
