PAUL RAYMOND DICKERSON Mr. Paul Raymond "Ray" Dickerson, age 66, of Donalsonville, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2007, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL. Memorial services for Mr. Dickerson were held on Thursday, August 16, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Kirk Loyless officiating. Mr. Dickerson was born in South Bend, Indiana, on March 15, 1941, to Paul and Muriel Dillard Dickerson. He was a brick mason and served his country in the United States Army, where he was a paratrooper with the 101st Airborne Division. He was also a Mason, Shriner, and an avid scuba diver. He was a member of the Methodist faith. Mr. Dickerson leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Lynn Dickerson of Donalsonville; his parents, Paul and Muriel Dickerson of Franklin, Indiana; three sons, Carroll (Anne) Dickerson of Indianapolis, Indiana, Master Sgt. John (Mitzi) Dickerson of Travis Air Force Base, California, and Kevin (Amy) Smith of Newfield, New York; a daughter, Rachel (Ben) Newman of Portsmouth, Virginia; a brother, John (Jeanne) Dickerson of Franklin, Indiana; a niece Shellia (Bryan) Whitmore and a nephew, Keith Dickerson as well as 7 grandchildren. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. |
