Land-Timber Agency Opens in Colquitt

Billy Kimbrel cuts ribbon on new Colquitt business.
South Georgia Land and Timber held its grand opening of its Colquitt office, Friday, August 3, 2007, with a great crowd of friends in attendance. Broker for the agency is Julian Morgan of Coleman, Georgia, and the local agent is Billy Kimbrel.

Veryl Cockey, president of Colquitt/Miller County Chamber of Commerce, welcomed the group and congratulated Morgan and Kimbrel on their efforts to bring a new real estate firm to Colquitt. Next, Mayor Jerry Chapman brought greetings from The City of Colquitt, and Howard Small gave best wishes from the Economic Development Authority and Miller County Board of Commissioners.

Next, Billy Kimbrel thanked everyone for their attendance and asked for the community's support in this endeavor. Kimbrel has over 25 years of experience as he has held a Georgia Real Estate License since 1983. His involvement with real estate sales in the past has been primarily in the auction business, but now wishes to focus his efforts closer to home. Billy then introduced Julian Morgan who also thanked the crowd and gave a brief history of the company.

We believe that recommendations from our clients and customers are our best advertisement. We regard our reputation and believe that our success depends on it," stated Morgan.

City Manager Cory Thomas then offered a prayer of thanks, and the group was invited inside the office for refreshments and a tour.
