The City/ County Golf Tournament was a tremendous

success. Twenty- five teams participated in the first annual event. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event successful. Results of the tournament are as follows:

Championship Flight - first place - Jesse Bowles, Scott Taylor, Mark Brooks, Tripp Mercer (57); second place - Larry King, Kenny King, Mac Davis, Danny Shepard (58); third place tie - Stan McMikel, Donna Mc- Mikel, Rob Allen, Rainey Owen and Charles Hobbs, Ben Pitts, Rhodes Collier, Cal Crawford (59).

First Flight - first place - Jerry Morgan, Billy Morgan, Billy Kidd, Mike Mooney, Jimmy Moore (59); second place - Tubby Dancer, Tony Everson, Hugh Franklin, Jerry Jones (62); third place tie - Joel Josey, John Grant, Art Powell, Doc Mercer and Mike Williams, Russ Williams, Stuart Griffin, Phil Long and Winston Trively, Jimmy Phillips, Ferrell Davis, Shelton Pickle (63).

Second Flight - first place - Neil Daniels, Mike Brooks, Renny Thompson, Jeffery French (62); second place tie - Brock Middleton, Carroll Middleton, Gaylon Harrell, Lee Bostick and Don Calhoun, Jerry Harrison, Ann Stewart, Freddie Gleaton (64).

Third Flight - first place - Richard Peterson, Travis Kelly, Brian Robertson (63);

second place - Pap Richardson, Major Skinner, Nina Richardson (67); third place - Ronnie Rentz, Edwin Wilkin, Sonny Grow, Jerry Chapman (68).

The membership program - (1) As a department of the City of Colquitt, we are committed to honoring the "Grandfather Clause" of the Dealmaker contract. As a grandfathered member of Crooked Oak, your annual dues cannot increase more than 8% and your member 18 hole green fee/cart fee cannot increase more than 5%. (2) We have extending the amount of time you can join Crooked Oak Golf Club for $125.00 and be "Grandfathered In" until August 31, 2007. (3) September 1, 2007 the price for a new annual membership will be $300.00. (4) In the future, any contract to sell the facility will include the "Grandfather Clause" as a condition of the sales contract.

August 31 is approaching quickly. Please consider joining before the price increase takes affect.

Crooked Oak Golf Club now has over 400 members! If you have not joined Crooked Oak, please consider joining and supporting golf in Miller County. Come to Crooked Oak Golf Course to play golf!
