Hey, y'all! I'm Brooke Widner, your new Miller County FFA reporter for the 2007-08 school year. The new officers have been chosen for the upcoming year and will travel to Bagby State Park in Ft. Gaines for officer training this week. At training we will plan all the activities for the year.

We have already kicked our year off with a fun community service project. Nikki Griffin, Matthew Tully, and myself went to the nursing home to play a game of "senior" softball. It was the Red Birds versus the Blue Birds. Miss Audrey won the coin toss for the Red Birds, and Mr. Willie started off the game. They hit the ball off of a tee, and we pushed them around the bases. We all had a blast! The game ended with Kayla Fountain hitting a home run to bring the Blue Birds to 15 and leaving the Red Birds at 11. And just a hint for the Blue Birds, the Red Birds will be gunning for you next month!
