The families of Christy Lynn McLendon and David Marshall Corey announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Marcia King of Blakely and Jerry and Lisa McLendon of Bainbridge. Miss McLendon is the granddaughter of Alice Lane of Colquitt, the late Clay and Doris Lane of Bainbridge and the late Rabon and Sadie McLendon of Colquitt. The future bridegroom is the son of Kathy Corey of Tucson, Arizona, and Barry and Arlene Corey of Tucson, Arizona. Mr. Corey is the grandson of Robert and Juanita Brown of Tucson and the late Bob and Evelyn Schossow and the late Joseph and Ann Corey.
After graduating from Miller County High School, the brideelect attended the University of Georgia and Tulane University, where she received a doctorate of philosophy in psychology. She is currently employed by the University of New Orleans.
Mr. Corey graduated from Sabino High School in Tucson, Arizona, and attended the University of Arizona and Tulane University, where he received a doctorate of philosophy in psychology. He is employed with Tulane University.
The wedding is planned for Saturday, October 6, 2007, at 6:30 p.m. in New Orleans.
