Doctor AnnAddison Appointed CEO of PCSG

Ann R. Addison, PhD, MSN, FNP-C, was recently appointed Chief Executive Officer of Primary Care of Southwest Georgia, Inc. (PCSG) in Blakely.
Dr. Addison has served as the Deputy District Health Director for the 14-county Southwest Georgia Public Health District for the past two and one-half years. Over the past three decades her contribution to health care has included managing a physicians practice, teaching nurses, director of a local health department, and providing care as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has served on numerous national committees, the most recent being a workgroup responsible for revising the National Public Health Performance Standards instrument.
Dr. Addison earned the Doctor of Philosophy in Healthcare Administration degree from Kennedy Western University. Her dissertation, "Rural Health Community Initiatives: A Comparison of Outcomes," is a 200 page document delineating the findings of case studies of three rural Georgia healthcare system's planning efforts and outcomes.
