First grade presents 'Down by the Bay'
      On Thursday, May 17, 2007 the first grade students at Miller County Elementary School presented their end-of-the-year honors day program. Parents, relatives, and friends enjoyed "Beach" songs presented by Holly Thomas, Miller County Elementary School music teacher and first grade students.

Wildlife Biologist visits MCES
      Mr. Jonathan Stober, a wildlife biologist with Jones Ecological Research Center at Ichuway, recently spoke with MCES Discovery students about ways to protect ecosystems. He spoke specifically about plants and animals in this area.

Field Day a Huge Success
      On May 18th the MCES Parent Boosters sponsored Field Day for Pre-K through 5th grades. The theme for this event was Survivor. The students enjoyed many games such as tug of war, dizzy bat, etc.

      This is Club Championship Weekend, but the tournament will not affect your ability to play Crooked Oak this weekend. Sign up for the Adkinson Memorial Golf Tournament to be held at Crooked Oak on Saturday, June 16th. The tournament is a two-person scramble preflighted by the committee.

Bainbridge College graduation held
      Bainbridge College's Graduation 2007 had the largest number of graduates in the college's history and marked the inauguration of a special souvenir for children attending the May 11 event at Decatur County Memorial Coliseum in Bainbridge.
