J & Company Antiques and Interiors hold ribbon cutting

A large crowd gathers for the ribbon cutting of Colquitt's newest business.
Colquitt's newest business, J & Company Antiques & Interiors held its ribbon-cutting Friday morning, May 18, 2007, at 10:00 a.m.

A large crowd gathered to welcome the new business to Colquitt.

Veryl Garland, president of the Colquitt/Miller County Chamber of Commerce, welcomed the crowd and told the owners how fortunate we were to have yet another business to open in our town.

Mayor Jerry Chapman, speaking on behalf of the City of Colquitt, expressed his good wishes and told how history was being preserved by utilizing old buildings in our town.

Howard Small, Development Authority chairman, also welcomed the business and told how good the building looked and wished the owners success.

The business located at 109 West College Street in Colquitt is owned and operated by Jay Funderburke, Jennifer Boutwell, Linda Toms and Carolyn Funderburke.

J & Company Antiques and Interiors has a large line of antiques including sterling silver, rugs, dining room tables and chairs, china, bedroom suites, and lots of other items. If they don't have it, you can tell them what you're looking for, and they will try to find it for you. They also carry art work, lamps, and many other home accessories to decorate that special room.

Also available is a full line of decorative fabrics, custommade pillows, bedspreads, and shower curtains.

To make your home or office smell great, they carry a complete line of BuDar Candles in spring basil, tea thyme, dark currant, French violet, and Scottish cream.

J & Company also has customized jewelry, handbags and flip flops.

For the outside, you'll find garden statues, patio or porch furniture, and Adirondack chairs.

The hours of operation are Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
