MICHAEL RAY SANDERS

Michael Ray Sanders, 60, of Colquitt, died Saturday, May 12, 2007, at his residence.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 14, at 11:00 a.m. in Iron City Baptist Church with Rev. Luther Hasty and Rev. Jimmy Dean officiating. Internment followed in Corinth Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Tim Middleton, Mike Middleton, Shawn Sanders, Jeff Hatcher, Larry Holzknecht and Wayne Womble.

Mr. Sanders was born August 18 in Houston County, AL. He was a member of the Iron City Baptist Church and worked as a meat cutter.

Survivors include his wife, Lomie Middleton Sanders of Colquitt; three daughters, Gayla (Bobby) Nix of Brinson, Stephanie (Arvis) Smith of Colquitt and Renee (Bob) Ausley of Iron City; his mother, Lucille Sanders of Iron City; three brothers, Jan D. Sanders of Jacksonville, FL, Kenneth Sanders of Valdosta and Thomas Sanders of Webb, AL; two sisters, Martha Yearta of Dothan, AL, and Norma Rentz of Brinson; seven grandchildren, Mallory Smith, Alaina Smith, Sloane Wiggins, Cassidy Nix, Parker Ausley, Elizabeth Ausley and Ethan Ausley.

Colquitt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
