Graduation time next week

Although some of the high schools and colleges have already held graduation, the main ones will take place next week for our local students.

Baccalaureate Service for area graduates will be held Sunday, May 20, at the Colquitt United Methodist Church at 6:00 PM. All graduates from SGA and Miller County High School are invited to attend and participate the service. Parents and friends are invited as long as the seats last.

Photos of this service are usually in the front section of the Graduation Edition since the Grad Sections will have already been printed.

South Georgia Academy will hold its graduation ceremonies Thursday, May 24, at 8:30 p.m. at Joe Bryan Auditorium in Damascus.

Miller County High School will hold its 2007 commencement exercises at Pirate Field at 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 25.

The next edition of the Miller County Liberal will be the largest edition to be printed in the past 110 years of existence. We are planning a three section edition with the Graduation sections in 36 pages of the B and C sections. There will always be some school stories and greetings in the A section, which we will not know the size of until next Tuesday morning as we go to press. If you would like to honor a special grad in this keepsake edition, do it quickly, very quickly.
