"Commissioner's Cut"

We have certainly had a full week this week. The Commissioners had a Special Session on Tuesday, May 8. Due to the resignation of our EMS/EMA director, we are pleased to report that Debbie Henry will serve as interim EMA director. She has all the education and training required for this position. She will be interim director until budget workshops are completed and all the details are worked out. A draft copy of the minutes from that meeting as well as a draft copy of the minutes from our Special Session held on April 25. Barbie Womble, chairperson, has written an article in this edition as well, so please read it. Despite all the changes, Miller County is going through right now; we will come out stronger as we work together.
