Albany Tech Inducts 20 Students to National Technical Honour Society on April 30th

Twenty Albany Technical College students were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) during an Induction Ceremony held at the Dougherty County Campus on April 30, 2007.

The ceremony was conducted by NTHS Advisor for Albany Tech, Marla Jackson. Speaker for the evening was Albany Tech President, Dr. Anthony Parker.

The following students were inducted: Savarrah Rice, Shirley Barnes, Alice Godwin, Deyawnday Williams Kleckley, Alinda Paris, Kawonda Williams, Mahasin Majied, Amber Keen, Daphne Revels, Jacqueline Smith, Sharon Kimbrell, Heather Millington, John Byrnes, William Hogan, John Clark, Sandra Klos, Barbara Lott, James Ramseur, Pennie Sesberry, and Dennis Thomas.

To qualify for induction into the NTHS, students must meet the following criteria: enrollment at Albany Technical College; completion of two consecutive quarters of coursework, a minimum of 24 credit hours; maintain at least a 3.5 GPA overall and must have made no lower than a B on any course taken; exemplify the personal qualities of an honor student, which includes being safety conscious, working well with others, dependable, trustworthy, responsible, honest, taking pride in work, exhibiting good citizenship, and making a neat and clean appearance; recommendation by his/her advisor; maintain the required grade average to remain a member of the National Technical Honor Society.
