WALLACE GEORGE

Mr. Wallace George, age 81, of Colquitt died Wednesday, May 2, 2007.

Mr. George was born September 25, 1925. He was the son of the late Clarence and Maybell Hightower George.

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 6, at 3:30 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Missionary Church with the Rev. Samuel Anderson officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Zion Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Willie Curry, James Curry, Willie Joe Marshall, Gregory Curry, Bernard George, and Sherrod Snell.

Honorary pallbearers were Billy Joe Butler, Richard Curry Jr., and Roderick George.

Survivors include one son, Wallace (Deborah) George, Blakely; 10 daughters, Gwendolyn George, Newark, NJ, Mary Houston, Eloise George, Gloria J. George, Imra Curry, Brenda (Willie) Curry, Damascus, Marion (Willie Jo) Marshall, Brinson, Verdell (Joe) Snell, Atlanta, Alberta (Harold) Field, Quincy, FL, Jerdean (Charlie) Bryant, Dublin; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Williams' Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
