RAYMOND LEE SIMMONS

Mr. Raymond Lee Simmons, age 84, of Iron City died Saturday, May 5, 2007, at Donalsonville Hospital.

Mr. Simmons was born in Marion, NC, on June 7, 1922, to the late Fletcher Lee and Ora Louise Hensley Simmons. He was retired from Daniel Construction Company as an electrical superintendent. He had lived in Donalsonville for the past 51 years.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, May 8, at 10:00 a.m. at Friendship Cemetery with the Rev. Luther Hastey officiating.

Survivors include one son, John Ray Simmons and his wife Kathy, Cleburne, TX; grandson, Jason Simmons, Lewisville, TX; and a sister, Evelyn Simmons Sauter, Old Fort, NC.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and a brother, Paul Simmons.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
