Bridges crowned

Maggie Bridges

Maggie Bridges, the daughter of John and Cathy Bridges of Brinson, was recently crowned Capital City's Outstanding Teen in Atlanta.

She competed in talent, gown, physical fitness, onstage question and interview. In addition to winning the title, she won the talent award for her vocal performance of "The Beauty and the Beast Medley."

She will compete in Columbus in June for the title of Georgia's Outstanding Teen which is part of the Miss America scholarship pageant system. Maggie's platform is "Skin Cancer Awareness and Prevention," and she will be busy promoting this cause as teens and children begin spending more time in the sun this spring.

She is the granddaughter of Martha Brown of Donalsonville, John and Carolyn Bridges of Brinson, and Glenn and Dottie Brown of Bainbridge.
