Dean Evans retires from First State

After 20 years in banking, Mrs. Dean Evans will be retiring from First State Bank on March 2, 2007.

Mrs. Evans began her career with First Federal Savings Bank of Donalsonville in May 1988, working in the operations department. In 1995, upon completion of the Colquitt branch, she transferred to join the staff in Colquitt as head teller.

Shortly after the acquisition by First State Bank, she accepted the position as new accounts officer which she currently holds.

Mrs. Evans has worked at the Colquitt office since the first day it opened and has developed many lasting friendships. She has been a tremendous asset to First State Bank and will certainly be missed. "We wish her well on her retirement," say those who have worked with her at the bank.
