Mike and Beverly Thomas of Colquitt would like to announce the engagement of their daughter, Stephanie Lynn Thomas, to David Lee Nelson, son of Russell L. Nelson of Hahira and the late Joanne Fiveash.

The wedding is planned for 4:00 p.m. April 14, 2007, at the Crescent, 904 Patterson Street in Valdosta. The reception will follow immediately after the ceremony at the Crescent.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ruth Thomas and the late Ed Thomas of Colquitt and Joel and Julliette Wiley of Blakely.

She is a 2002 graduate of Miller County High School and received a bachelor of science in nursing from Valdosta State University in 2006. She is currently employed with Shands Hosptial in Gainesville, Florida, in the surgical care unit.

The bridegroom is the grandson of Leroy Troupe and Dorothy Troupe and the late James Nelson and Dorothy Nelson.

He is a 1997 graduate of Lowndes High School and is currently employed with Atlanta Gas Light Company in Valdosta.

The couple will reside in Valdosta.

No local invitations will be sent, but all friends and family of the couple are invited to attend.
