Dr. Rentz brings quality health care to his area

Dr. Turner Wayne Rentz Jr. Dr. Turner Wayne Rentz Jr. Miller County native, Turner Wayne Rentz Jr., MD, is currently serving a chief of staff of the Brunswick Campus at Southeast Georgia Health System. He is a general surgeon certified by the American Board of Surgery and the National Board of Medical Examiners.

Dr. Rentz is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is director of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Southeast Georgia Health System. He is a member of the Georgia Surgical Society, the Society of Breast Surgeons and the Georgia Society of General Surgeons. Dr. Rentz is president of the Fifth Medical District, Medical Association of Georgia, and a clinical instructor at Emory University Medical School for Physicians Assistants.

Dr. Rentz, a leader in his field, has followed in his father's footsteps. Dr. Turner Wayne Rentz Sr. of Colquitt, a retired physician who practiced medicine in Colquitt for many years and was instrumental in the building of the Miller County Hospital. Wayne and his wife, Mary, reside on St. Simons Island. They have two sons, Trey

and Jeff, and two grandchildren.
