The Miller County girls' tennis team served up a win in their first game of the '07 season. On Monday, February 12, the girls traveled to Camilla to play Mitchell County. Paige Godfrey played #1 singles, Kayla Calhoun played #2 singles, and Deanna O'berry played #3 singles. Brittney O'berry and Erika Rigsby played #1 doubles, and Christina Tabb and Ashley Josey played #2 doubles. The final score was (5-0) in Miller's favor. On Thursday, February 15, the girls traveled back to Camilla to play Baconton Charter.

This was a region game. Paige, Kayla, and Deanna played singles. Brittney, Erika, Ashley, and Christina played doubles. The girls came up short in the end, but played very close matches. On Tuesday, February 20, the girls traveled to Albany to play Westover. Kayla Calhoun played #1 singles, Paige Godfrey played #2 singles, and Erika Rigsby played #3 singles. Playing #1 doubles were Deanna O'berry and Christina Tabb. Ashley Josey and Deana Barwick played #2 doubles. Once more, the Lady Pirates showed a lot of heart, but just missed a victory.

"Please come out and support the Lady Pirates Tennis team," commented Coach Thomas.
