ARRESTS

Denarelle Charles Benton of Colquitt was charged with possession of marijuana, distributing, etc.

THEFT BY TAKING

On February 24, 2007, Deputy Dale Glover went to Floyd's Place in reference to a stolen phone.

Deputy Glover spoke with

Ronnie Weaver of Colquitt, who said someone took his cell phone.

Weaver said he arrived at Floyd's and put his phone on the bar; then he couldn't find it.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS

On Wednesday, February 21, 2007, Deputy Thomas Mitchell was dispatched to Floyd's place on Highway 91 North.

He spoke with Theresa Chambliss of Colquitt, (manager of Floyd's) who said she asked Frances and Robert Webb to leave the property. After throwing pool sticks to the floor, they left the building.

Frances then returned and began cursing Chambliss. Chambliss stated she pushed Frances away, and she left a second time.

Chambliss called Floyd Mc- Nease who stated he didn't want Robert and Frances back on his property.

Deputy Mitchell told dispatch that the pair had left and to advise Decatur and Seminole Counties to be on the look-out for their truck (a dark blue Ford F-150).

Decatur County Deputy Chad Bennett located the truck on Highway 310 and stopped them.

Deputy Mitchell went to Deputy Bennett's location and spoke with Frances and Robert. Frances stated that Chambliss was angry because she was dancing with her customers. She went on to say that she left the building when asked.

Deputy Mitchell spoke with Robert, who stated that Chambliss was angry because Frances was dancing.

Both were told not to return to Floyd's property, or they would be charged with criminal trespass.

ACCIDENT

Shannon Fisher of Colquitt was coming out of the back driveway of East Main Street, driving a 2003 Chevrolet Malibu. Fisher stated she didn't see Donald Ray Brooks of Damascus, who was driving a 2003 Ford Explorer.

Fisher struck Brooks' vehicle on the driver's side front wheel and door.

Brooks' vehicle suffered minor damage while Fisher's was damaged majorly.

No reports of injuries and no citations were issued. Captain Daniel John Stone was the reporting officer.

HARASSMENT

On February 20, 2007, Melissa Perez of Colquitt came to the police department and reported harassment.

SHOPLIFTING

On February 21, 2007, Sgt. Kenneth Kirkland responded to Ron-Cam in reference to a shoplifter in custody.

The officer spoke with Monal Patel of Colquitt, who said Cedric Fountain of Colquitt came into the store and took a pack of gum off the shelf and placed it in his pocket.

Patel stated she watched him, waiting for him to come to the counter. When he began to walk out of the store, Patel stopped Fountain and asked him what he had in his pocket, and he replied, "Nothing."

Patel told him to empty his pockets, and she retrieved the pack of Trident gum he was trying to conceal. Patel called Fountain's parents, and when they arrived, she called the police.

While speaking with Fountain and his mother, he admitted to putting the gum in his pocket.

DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

On February 22, 2007, Offi- cer Kenneth Kirkland responded to 922 Myrtice St. with Officer Greg Richey in reference to damage to property.

When he arrived, he spoke with Vicky Thornton of Colquitt in reference to two front windows of her residence being broken.

Thornton stated that when she left for work, the windows were fine, and when she returned home they were broken. Photographs were taken of the damage.

LARCENY

Chloe A. Lomineck of Colquitt stated that on February 23, 2007, she left her cell phone on the counter of TJ's Pawn Shop. She noticed it was missing and looked for it everywhere.

She tried calling the number and it rang, but when they tried again someone had turned it off. Someone put a song ring tone on the phone when she tried to call it again, but no one would answer. The service has been stopped.
