      This past week the residents enjoyed church by First Baptist, and Storytime with Jane Wiggins. National Pig Month is on March 1. March 2 will feature services with Rev. Johnny Roberts On March 5, we will bowl and have singing with Mt. Zion Fellowship.

Valentine Queen and King named
      The 2007 Valentine Queen and King for Miller County Nursing Home were crowned Wednesday, February 14, 2007, at the nursing home. Mrs. Lorene Price was crowned Queen and Mr. T.C. Cooper was crowned King. A big crowd was on hand at the Valentine party for the big event.

A cheerful giver
      On the way to church, an eight-year-old boy was given a dollar and a quarter by his father, who told him to put one in the collection plate and keep one for himself. After church, the father asked his son which one he had put in the plate. "Well, dad," the boy replied, "I was going to put the dollar in, but changed my mind when the preacher said that God loves a cheerful giver.

Alcohol experiment
      Another somewhat older-fashioned way of chemically tearing germ cells apart involves alcohol. When applied topically directly on the skin--alcohol kills nearly everything, germ-wise, by destroying the cell walls of typical germs. Try this: Put a drop of water on wax paper. Dip the tip of a toothpick in rubbing alcohol. Touch the tip to the edge of the water drop.
