Lt. 'Billy' Retires from SO

Sheriff H.E. "Buddy" Glass presented Lt. Bundy with a plaque for his seven years with the SO and for his service to Miller County. William "Billy" Bundy retired after more than 33 years as a law officer in two counties.
Billy Bundy began his work in law enforcement when he went to work with the Early County Sheriff's Department on July 1, 1973. He worked with that department until 1980.
In 1981, he went to work with the Blakely Police Department, and worked there for 20 years or until June 2001.
From the Blakely Police Department, the lawman came to the Miller County Sheriff's Department and worked there until Wednesday, February 28, 2007.
Lt. William "Billy" Bundy was honored by the Miller County Sheriff's Department with a BBQ luncheon at the Miller County Jail. The jovial officer was joined by many of his fellow Glass for allowing him to serve officers from the Sheriff and thanked his many friends for Department, the Colquitt Police their support and backing and Department and other friends most of all his wife, Patsy and and family. son, Will for helping him serve Lt. Bundy thanked Sheriff these years in law enforcement.
