Marijuana found between Reed and Geer St.

Bags of Marijuana Bags of Marijuana On February 23, 2007, Sgt. Ken Kirkland and Cpl. Lonnie Wade responded to an area between Reed St. and Geer St. in reference to someone possibly hiding narcotics.

After obtaining permission to search from the landowner, the officers began looking for any unusual surrundings like fresh dug holes, plainly viewed objects or unually stacked items.

During the search of the area, Sgt. Kirkland noticed some bricks stacked beside a tree.

With his years of experience, this looked suspicious, so he took a closer look at the area and saw something under the brick.

He moved it and saw a plastic bag contating smaller bags of narcotics. 12 to 15 bags of marijuana were found.

Sgt. Kirkland advised Cpl. Wade of the find and had him photograph it.

The officer then contacted Special Agent B.J. Josey and advised him of the incident.

Agent Josey arrived on scene, and the narcotics and scene was turned over to him.
