Ms. Shirley Lavette Douglas, 32, of Colquitt died Wednesday, February 21, 2007.

Ms. Douglas was born in Miller County on January 17, 1975. She was the daughter of Johnnie Mae Douglas and Fred Thomas. She attended Miller County High School and was a member of Tabernacle Free Will Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Friday, February 23, at 11:00 a.m. at Tabernacle Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. R.W. Boatman officiating. Interment followed in Flynn Cemetery.

Survivors include two children, Jarvis and Jatavious Burney; three brothers, Allen Douglas, Patrick and Fred Thomas Jr., one sister, Beverly Thomas; and a number of other relatives.

Williams Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
