Two injured in ATV accident

Two injured in ATV accident A four-wheeler accident occurred Sunday, February 3, at approximately 4:30 p.m.

A call came into the 911 office at approximately 4:41 p.m. that someone on Patterson Circle was involved in a four-wheeler accident.

When Miller County Deputy Sheriff Shane Rathel arrived at 40 Patterson Circle, just off of Twilight Church Road, Patrick Cooper, 46, was slumped over a Polaris 500 four-wheel ATV.

The driver, Patrick Cooper, stated that he did not know what had happened.

Upon investigation by the officers, it appeared that the ATV proceeded backwards through a fence, into a hog pen and was stopped by a tree by the rear of the four-wheeler.

The driver appeared to be seriously injured. Also injured with visible cuts and scrapes was his son, Karringron Cooper. Neither of the injured appeared to have been ejected from the vehicle.

The contributing factor that caused the accident was due to the driver lost control.

Both victims were treated at the scene and taken by ambulance to the Miller County Hospital ER.
