Miller County B-Team Basketball Highlights

The Miller County B-Team Lady Pirates under the coaching ability of the dynamic duo of Coach Robert Melton and his wife, Coach Marianne Melton traveled over to Baker County to face the Baker County Lady Bears. Christy Daniels was the top scorer for the Lady Pirates B-Team with a total of 19 points, followed by Toya Bush with 16 points, Katrina Crankfield and Reva Butler each tacked on two points for the final score of 38-20 in favor of our Lady Pirates’ B-Team.

The Miller County Boys’ BTeam hosted the Bainbridge’s B-Team on December 12th at the Pirates’ Gymnasium. This group of young men is coached by Coach Tim Martin. This was very close game all the way down to the last second on the clock ending with a tied ballgame. It was in overtime that the Bear-Cats hit a two point shot and held onto the lead. Zenario Shuler was the top scorer for the Pirates with 16 points, followed Colby Gilbert with 11 points, Trez Morgan and Cosby Salters each assisted with 7 points,

Will Martin and Cedric Clarke each tacked on 4 points, and Cedric Fountain added two points

On December 11th, our boys traveled to Baker County to face the Baker County Bears. The Pirates walked away with a victory 32-24. Top scorer this time was Cosby Salters with 10 points, followed Zenario Shuler with 6 points, Cedric Clarke assisted with 5 points, Will Martin tacked on 4 points, Colby Gilbert hit three points, and Trez Morgan and Christian Richardson each added two points for the Pirates.
