LAVERNE MCLENDON BRYAN

LaVerne McLendon Bryan, age 85, of Colquitt died Saturday, December 9, 2006.

Mrs. Bryan was born and raised in Colquitt. As a wife of a career air force M/Sgt., Mrs. Bryan traveled extensively and resided in various cities across the United States. She returned to her childhood home of Colquitt in 2002 after residing in Albany for over 30 years. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Order of Easter Star and Daughters of the Nile where she played the piano for ceremonies and a member and past president of the Albany Garden Club.

A memorial service was held Thursday, December 14, at 11:00 a.m. at Matthews Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Ellison officiating. Interment followed in Colquitt City Cemetery.

Survivors include three children, Simone Bryan, Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl, Quin Bryan and wife Cindy, Peachtree City, and Wendi Carpenter and husband, Jeff, Suffolk, VA; brother, Jack McLendon, Greensboro, FL; six grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren.

Matthews Funeral Home was in charge of arrangement.
