Tuten, Clanton to wed

Mr. and Mrs. Larry Tuten of Thomasville are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Rebecca Leigh Tuten, to Kenneth Alan Clanton Jr. of Colquitt.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Rayford and Theatis Pendergast of Ochlocknee and the late Lonnie and Ruth Tuten of Pelham.

She is a 1995 graduate of Thomas County Central High School and a graduate of Darton College, where she obtained an associate’s degree in nursing. She is currently working as an RN in the emergency room at Memorial Hosptial in Bainbridge. The groom-elect is the

son of Mr. and Mrs. David Askew and the late Kenneth Alan Clanton Sr. of Colquitt. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. L.B. Clanton of Albany and the late Hilda and Grady Gilbert of Colquitt.

He is a 1995 graduate of Miller County High School and attended Valdosta State University. He is currently employed by Bellsouth Telecommunications of Colquitt as a facility technician.

The wedding will be held at Gin Creek in Hartsfield on April 7, 2007, at 6:30 p.m. The reception will immediately follow the wedding.

No local invitations are being sent, but all friends and relatives of the couple are invited to attend.
