BERT PRIEST
Mr. Bert Priest, 97, of Colquitt, Ga passed away February 3, 2006 at Miller Nursing Home. The visitation will be 6-8:00 PM Saturday, February 4, 2006, at Colquitt Funeral Home. The funeral will be 2:00 PM Sunday, February 5, 2006, at Colquitt First Baptist Church with Rev. Harold Burrell officiating. Interment will follow at Colquitt City Cemetery. Mr. Priest was born October 3, 1908 in Decatur County. He was the former editor and publisher of the Miller County Liberal, a member of the Colquitt First Baptist Church, and of the Colquitt Lions Club. He is survived by his son, Bert Priest of Pensacola, Fl; two nephews, Terry (Betty Jo) Toole of Colquitt and Roy Jones, Jr.; and one niece, Jacquelyn Meadors.

EDWARD D. MOBLEY
Mr. Edward D. Mobley Sr., age 81 of Bainbridge died Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at his residence. Mr. Mobley was born September 28, 1924 in Cadallic, MI. He was a United States Army Veteran receiving the Purple Heart, The Bronze Star, Combat Infantry Badge, and American Theatre Ribbon. He was a lifetime member and 1999-2000 Commander of the VFW Post 4904 and lifetime member of the American Legion. He attended West Street Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Friday, February 3 at 3:00 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Grubbs and Commander Hill Yates officating. Interment followed in Mape Gove Cemetery in Freesoil, MI. Honorary pallbearers were Chuck, Ginger, Chad, and Christopher Matthews, John, Peggy, Michael, Addam and Maggie Comerford, Ashley, Morgan, Katie, Artie and Lisa Wade and Scott Weaver. Survivors include two daughters, Kathlene Morley, Bainbridge, Debra Herrera, Fountain, MI; four sons, Terry Morley, Chief Lake, MI, David Morley, Freesoil, MI, Edward Delbert Morley Jr., Fountain, MI, John Morley, Manistee, MI; two sisters, Betty Johnson, Donna Dalke, Manistee, MI; 25 grandchildren; and 44 great-grandchildren.

JACK MILES
Mr. Jack Miles, age 71 of Donalsonville died Thursday, February 2, 2006 at his residence. Mr. Miles was born November 15, 1934 in Moultrie to the late Joe Harris and Eunice Johnson Miles. He worked at a bait and tackle store in the lake area. Memorial services were held Sunday, February 5 at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with the Rev. Mylan Brookins officiating. Survivors include his wife, Shirley D. Miles, Donalsonville; two daughters, Kim Barrett, Donalsonville, Michelle Holman, Jakin; brother, Frank Miles, Montgomery, AL; three sisters, Edna Clements, Pavo, Dianne Pike, Atlanta, Hazel Clark, Decatur; and three grandchildren. RUBY NICHOLASON WILLIS
Ruby Nicholason Willis, 86, of Colquitt, died Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at Miller County Hospital.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 4, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel of Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home with Dr. Gary Hadden, Rev. Walter Daniels, and Mr. Charles Thorne officiating. Interment followed in Blakely Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Lamar Willis, Julian Willis, Andy Hayes, Gene Lane, Walter Nicholson, Tom McCook, Bill Nicholason, and Bob Nicholson. Mrs. Willis was born June 30, 1919 in Terrell County and lived most of her life in Early County and Colquitt for the past 13 years. She was a member of Colquitt First Baptist Church and was a Rtd ASCS for 22 years and Early County Register for 13 years.
Survivors include one son, James T. Willis and wife Jane of Huntsville, AL; three daughters, Sandra Brownlee and husband Ronald of Colquitt, Linda Smith and husband Jerry of Arlington, Norma Gomez and husband Henry of Chattanooga, TN; two sisters, Dell Lane of Dawson and Mamie Brundige of Hawthorn, FL; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Linton Smith Willis Sr.; her parents, James J. Nicholson and Leola Adele Woolbright; two brothers, D.B. Nicholson and James Nicholason; three sisters, Lucille Miller, Meredith McCook, and Margie Hayes; one grandson, two great-grandsons, and one son, Linton S. Willis Jr.
