FREDDIE K. RENTZ
Mrs. Freddie K. Rentz, 83, of Colquitt, GA passed away Thursday, September 1, 2005 at Miller County Hospital. The visitation will be Saturday, September 3, 2005, from 7-9 PM at Colquitt Funeral Home. The funeral will be 3:00 PM Sunday, September 4, 2005 at Colquitt United Methodist Church with Rev. Joe Romigh officiating. Interment will follow at Colquitt City Cemetery. Travis Rentz, Jeff Rentz, Turner Wayne Rentz, III, Ryan Rentz, Wesley King, and Thomas W. Rentz, Jr. will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Rentz was born March 30, 1922 in Baker County, GA. She was a retired owner of Fre-Jan’s in Colquitt, a member of Colquitt United Methodist Church, and a former member of the Colquitt Garden Club, the Eastern Star, and a Sunday School Teacher. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Turner W. Rentz, Sr. of Colquitt, GA; three sons & daughters-in-law, Dr. T.W. & Mary Rentz, Jr, of St. Simons Island, GA, Judge Ronald H. & Jan Rentz of Colquitt, GA, and John R. & Nancy Rentz of St. Simons Island, GA; one daughter & son-in-law, Freida R. & Jack Fair of Milledgeville, GA; eight grandchildren, Turner Wayne Rentz, III, Jeff Rentz, Travis Rentz, Dr. Kelly King, Anna Fair, Erin Fair, Ryan Rentz, and Claire Rentz; and two great grandchildren, William Rentz, Halle Rentz.

ROCKY ESLONT HEARD
Mr. Rocky Eslont Heard, 48, of Colquitt, Ga passed away August 31, 2005 at the Miller Co. Hospital. The funeral was at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 3, 2005 at Sheffield Funeral Chapel. Interment followed at Cooks Union Cemetery. Mr. Heard was born on June 20, 1957 in Miller Co., GA. He was a farmer and a member of Kimbrel Chapel Church of God. He is survived by his three sons, Jason Rocky Heard & daughter-in-law Amanda of Camilla, GA, Elijah Rocky Heard & Joshua Rocky Heard, both of Tallahassee; one daughter, Misty Lorraine Hartsfield and son-in-law Eric of San Diego, CA; mothers of his children, Mary Heard of Tallahassee, FL and Brenda Donalson of Bainbridge; one brother, Ray Dean Heard of Colquitt; one sister, Rhonda Kay Warren of Colquitt; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Wyatt Alexander Moore
Mr. Wyatt Alexander Moore, 86, of Fayetteville, GA passed away August 28, 2005 in Fayetteville, GA. The visitation will be Wednesday, August 31, 2005, from 6-8 PM at Colquitt Funeral Home. The graveside service will be 11:00 AM Thursday, September 1, 2005, at Colquitt City Cemetery with Military Honors. The Rev. Talmadge Worsley will officiate. Mr. Moore was born on January 11, 1919 in Early County, GA. He was an Army Veteran who landed on Normandy Beach on June 6, 1944 and a retired building contractor. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Nora Duane Moore of Fayetteville, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Jamie & Alice Moore of Niceville, FL; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two brothers, James & Hortense Moore of Colquitt, GA and Murray Moore of Colquitt, GA.

MICHEAL EUGENE "MIKE" GORDON
Michael Eugene “Mike” Gordon, 49, of Bossier City, LA, formerly of Donalsonville, died Saturday, August 27, 2005.
Funeral services were held at the Broadmoore Assembly of God church in Shreveport, LA on Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor David Daniel officiating. Hill Crest Funeral Home were in charge of the arrangements there.. Grave side services and interment were held Friday, September 2, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Houston Cemetery in Blakely with the Rev. Stan Long and Rev. Eric Boomer officiating. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
Mr. Gordon was born on October 11, 1955 to the late E.E. Gordon and Ramona Houston Gordon. He was married to the former Jeneane Enfinger and was a member of Broadmoor Assembly of God Church in Shreveport, LA. Mr. Gordon served his country in the U.S. Air Force for four years and was a Systems Operator for International Paper Co. for twenty-four years.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Justin Gordon; his mother Ramona Houston Gordon of Donalsonville; one sister and brother-in-law, Jeannie Gordon Conyers and Dewayne Conyers of Ashford, AL; one sister, Cherri Gordon of Albany; one grandson, Tyler Gordon; and many other relatives and friends.

EMMETT HARPER YOUNG SR.
Emmett Harper Young Sr., 84, of Ringgold, died Sunday, August 28, 2005 at National Health Care in Ringgold.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 30, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Danny Shepard officiating. Interment followed in Oak City Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were the Baracca Sunday School class.
Mr. Young was born October 9, 1920 in Meigs. he was retired from GA Industries for the Blind and was the owner/operator at Young’s Market. He was a member of US Navy Veteran, Orion Lodge #8 F&AM, American Legion Post 62. He received awards with Georgia Division of Rehabilitation for the Blind. He was a 50-year mason, Deacon and Sunday School teacher for 15 years at First Baptist Church.
Survivors include Loma Anderson Young, of Ringgold; one daughter, Mary Loma Young of Oxford; three sons, Emmet Harper Young Jr. of Macon, David Anderson Young of Murrayville, Timothy Roy Young of Hydaburg, AK; two sisters, Mary Frances Roach, of Atlanta and Norene Harley of Neptune Beach, FL; one brother, Dr. William Glenn Young of Titusville, FL; 12 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett Roy and Myrtice Clarice Harper Young.

WALLACE O'HEARN
Wallace O’Hearn, 84, of Donalsonville, died Monday, August 29, 2005 at the Candler County Hospital in Metter.
Funeral services were held Thursday, September 1, 2005, at 3:00 p.m. at Oakview Church of God with the Rev. Mylan Brookins and the Rev. Milton Pate officiating. Interment followed in Oakview Church of God Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Nevan O’Hearn, Kevin O’Hearn, Christopher Ray Boyd, William Alday, Gary DeHart, and Steve Warren.
Mr. O’Hearn was born on February 8, 1921 to the late Arthur and Essie Mae Burton O’Hearn. he was a farmer and a member of Oakview Church of God.
Survivors include one brother, Edwin O’Hearn of Donalsonville; two sisters, Christine Boyd of Columbus, and Cordelia Brookins of Donalsonville; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
