PAULINE MARTIN DAVIS
Pauline Martin Davis, 95, of Breckenridge, TX, died Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at her residence.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 3, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Paul United Methodist Church of Breckenridge, TX, with the Rev. Harrell Braddock and Rev. Andrew Channer officiating. Graveside services will be held March 5, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the Brinson Cemetery in Brinson, with the Rev. Luther Hastey officiating.
Mrs. Davis was born on October 31, 1908 in Decatur County to the late John Alexander and Florence Brinson Martin. She attended school in Seminole County. Pauline married George Bush Davis on June 20, 1929 in Donalsonville. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Bainbridge, where she attended the Wesley Fellowship Sunday School Class, and a member of the Sunshine Club in Donalsonville. In 1985, Pauline moved to Texas. While living in Breckinridge, she was a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Quilters Club. She was also a volunteer at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Breckenridge.
Survivors include one daughter, Terri and husband John Walker of Breckenridge; one sister, Nita Harrell of Donalsonville; two grandchildren, Kim Marguess of Ft. Worth, TX and Bryan Walker of Round Rock, TX; and four great-grandchildren, Jordan Marguess, Kaitlyn Walker, Brynalise Walker, and Caleb Walker.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three sisters, four brothers, and one daughter.

NORMA J. DEAN
Mrs. Norma J. Dean, age 65 of Bainbridge died Monday, February 28, 2005, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Dean was born December 14, 1939 to Andrew Jefferosn Dunn and Mattie McCormick Dunn. She graduated from Miller County High School in 1958. She was a LPN at Memoril Manor Nursing Home and a member of First Christian Church.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 2 at 11:00 a.m. at Morningside Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Jones and the Rev. Jeffrey Horne officiating. Interment followed at Roselawn Memory Gardens.
Active pallbearers were Andy Dunn, Todd Dunn, Joey Dunn, Jeffrey Horne, Patrick Horne, and Jeremy Horne.
Honorary pallbearers were Sam Dunn, Dwight Dunn, Wayne Dunn, Alex Dunn. and Payton Horne.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Dean, Bainbridge; two daughters, Carla Dean Batchelor, Loganville, Aimee Dean, Bainbridge; her mother, Mattie M. Dunn, Colquitt; three brothers, Sam (Marilyn) Dunn, Bainbridge, Dwight (Jean) Dunn, Plains, Wayne Dunn, Colquitt; one sister, Linda Horne (Payton), Donalsonville; and several nieces and nephews.

RAYLEEN GAE MCDANIEL
We regret to announce the passing of Rayleen Gae McDaniel, age 33, of Iron City, GA who passed away Sunday evening, February 27, 2005 in Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2004 at 4:00 PM at the Donalsonville Church of God in Donalsonville, GA. with the Rev. Billy Dawson and Rev. Stan Long officiating. Interment will follow in Corinth Cemetery in Iron City, GA Visitation will be held Wednesday March 2, 2005 from 6:00-9:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.
Rayleen was born in Boise, ID on December 30, 1971 to Phillip and Sherry Elliott McDaniel. She had resided in this area for the past six years and was employed as a Para Professional in the Pre-K Department in the Seminole County School System. She attended Donalsonville Church of God and was a member of Unity Church of God in Iron City, GA.
She is survived by her father Phillip McDaniel of Iron City, GA; her mother Sherri Elliott Rayne of Nampa, ID; one daughter Alyshia George, two sons Raymund McDaniel and Alex McDaniel all of Iron City, GA; paternal grandmother Martha Ann McDaniel of Iron City, GA; paternal grandfather Woodrow McDaniel of Donalsonville, GA; three sisters Pamelo Elliott of Modesto, CA, Ellen McDaniel of Boise, ID and Kym Martin of Phoenix, AR; two brothers Steve Troyer of Modesto,CA and Kenny Troyer of Middleton, ID.
Preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Leo and Thelma Brahms.
Pallbearers will be Herman Enfinger, Carl Scott, Robert Scott, Randall Jackson, Mike Adams and Wendell Cross. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Donalsonville Church of God Children's Fund, 5060 Hwy. 91, Donalsonville, GA 39845.

HATTIE MAE CRAWFORD TABB
Hattie Mae Crawford Tabb, 99, from Colquitt, died Monday, February 28, 2005, in Miller County Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. in Sheffield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Walter Daniels officiating. Interment will follow in Colquitt City Cemetery. Pallbearers are Robert LaDon Merritt III, Trey Tabb, Brett Tabb, Greg Grimsley, Felix Grimsley, Garrett Grimsley, Bob Lockhart, Al Lockhart, Mitchell Mock, Michael Mock, and Billy Rentz.
Mrs. Tabb was born May 22, 1905 in Decatur County. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include one son, W. Felix Tabb Jr. and daughter-in-law Iva of Colquitt; three daughters, Merle Merritt and Joanne Grimsley, both of Colquitt, and Juanita Lockhart of Cussetta; 11 grandchildren, Billy Rentz, Gayle Manning, Marsha Mock, Bob Lockhart, Al Lockhart, Felicia McAleer, Trey Tabb, Brett Tabb, Greg Grimsley, Felix Grimsley, and Garrett Grimsley; 18 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sheriff W.F. Tabb Sr.; two daughters, Geneva T. Durden and Margaret Rentz; two grandchildren, Robert LaDonne Merritt Jr. and Rebecca Rentz; and her parents, Whitaker and Miranda Crawford.

MARY SPOONER LYNN
Mary Spooner Lynn, 81, of Donalsonville, died Monday, February 28, 2005 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Donalsonville with the Rev. Morgan Whitfield officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Tommy Alday, Joseph E. "Tudd" Alday, Jerry Godby, Lewis Godby, Dr. Charles A. Walker, Dr. Michael Hampton, and Roy Moulton Jr. Mrs. Lynn was born in Seminole County on August 18, 1923 to the late Joseph Colquitt and Lola Widner Spooner. She was married to W.C. Lynn, who preceded her in death in September of 2001. Mrs. Lynn had lived in Seminole County all of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Prebsyterian Church of Donalsonville.
Survivors include two daughters, Jeannie Walker and husband Dr. Charles O. Walker, Kathy Fox and husband Melvin, all of Donalsonville; one brother, Don Spooner and wife Joanna of Donalsonville; four grandchildren, Dr. Charles A. Walker, Dr. Sarah Hampton, Dr. Josh Walker, and Kyla Fox; three great grandchildren, Ben Hampton, Allyson Walker, and Tanner Walker; and one great-great grandchild, Jase Walker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, W.C. Lynn, one brother, Carl Spooner Jr.; three sisters, Euna Gibson, Sybil Alday, and Louise Godby.

JAMES EDGAR KIRKLAND
James Edgar Kirkland, a resident of Abbeville, Ala., died Sunday afternoon, February 20, 2005, at Southeast Regional Hospital in Dothan, Ala. He was 71. Graveside services with military honors were held at noon on Tuesday, February 22, 2005, at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery in Abbeville. Reverend Ray S. Reiley, Reverend Ryan Minkler,and Mr. Olin Smith officiated. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Kirkland was a native of Abbeville, Ala. He was the son of the late William Wilson Kirkland and the late Lucy Long Summerford Kirkland. He had served on the Henry County Commission and the Henry County Hospital Board. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars as he was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was an lifetime active member of Sardis Baptist Church, and he was a Master Mason. Mr. Kirkland was a graduate of the University of Alabama and was self-employed in the construction business. James met his wife, the former Emogene Burnum Jarvis of Mitchell and Baker Counties in Ga., in the late 1980s. Both having been widowed, they met through mutual friends and contined their relationship, crossing the Georgia-Alabama state line countless times during their courtship. On Christmas of 1989, James proposed marriage to Emogene, and they were married on July 3, 2000, by the Reverend Ray S. Reiley in Abbeville, Ala. They made their home on the ancestral Kirkland farm in Henry County, Ala. Their families blended happily, and they believed their union was truly a gift from God. He and his wife Emogene have been avid fans of the Atlanta Braves, the U. of Ala. Crimson Tide, and the UGA Bulldogs. James, along with his wife, was extremely devoted to their children and their grandchildren as well as to their church and community. They enjoyed traveling and entertaining friends and family. James will be remembered as a true pillar of his community. He was hard-working, honest, and always ready to help others in any way that he could even as his health was declining. He believed whole-heartedly in helping worthwhile causes both monitarily and through volunteering his time and labor. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, friend, and Christian. He will be long remembered for his kindness and goodness of heart as well as his love for his fellow man. Survivors include his devoted wife, Emogene Burnum Jarvis Kirkland, Abbeville; two sons, Michael Leondas Kirkland, New York City; Paris, France; and Ft. Lauderdale, Fl; Franklin Eugene “Frankie” Kirkland and his wife, Jerusha “Dru” Davis Kirkland, of Abbeville; a daughter, Rhonda Jarvis Pate and her husband, William C. “Billy” Pate of Albany, Ga.; three granddaughters, Katelyn Paige Kirkland of Abbeville, Stephanie Emilin Pate of Albany, Ga., and Julie Alison Pate of Valdosta, Ga. and Albany, Ga.; a brother, Charity William Kirkland and his wife Julie of Abbeville; a sister-in-law, Virginia Burnum Keeffe and her husband, Elmer C. Keeffe of Nashville, Ga.; and a host of relatives and friends. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Barnes, Malcolm Presley, Hershel Bedsole, John “Billy” Clenney, Bibb Price, John A. Robinson, and Wayne Sauls, all of Abbeville and William C. “Billy” Pate of Albany, Ga.
