SAMUEL MORGAN TOOLE

SAMUEL MORGAN TOOLE
Samuel M. Toole, 61, of Savannah and formerly of Colquitt, died Thursday, September 29, 2005, at Memorial Hospital in Savannah after a lengthy illness.
A memorial service was held Sunday, October 2, at 2:00 p.m. at Fox & Weeks Island Chapel at 4605 Highway 80 East, Savannah, with the Rev. David Laughner officiating. Another memorial service was held in Colquitt where he lived as a youth. The service was held Sunday, October 9, at 2:00 p.m. at Colquitt United Methodist Church with the Rev. Walter Daniels officiating.
Mr. Toole was born in Bainbridge on October 17, 1943, to the late Joseph E. and Annie Lou Toole. He was a graduate of Miller County High School and University of Georgia School of Pharmacy. He was the owner and operator of Tybee Island Pharmacy on Tybee Island and was a pharmacist for over 37 years. Sam was a member of the Chapel by the Sea Baptist Church. Although his journey in life was cut short at 61, he lived a full, happy life. Sammy suffered from many medical problems, but continued to work full time until the day he died. His positive attitude made him a pleasure to be around, never complaining. He set an example for his children by his patience, dedication, dependability, loving others and never giving up when life was hard. He loved his work, the people he worked for, and with.
Sam was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Polly Toole; two sons, Andy Wayne Andrews of Savannah and Joseph Morgan Toole, U.S. Army, Germany, one brother, Terry Toole, and his wife, Betty Jo, of Colquitt; one brother-in-law, Tony Channell of Opp, Alabama; two sisters-in-law, Dr. Bonita Helms and husband Lamar Helms, Montgomery, Alabama and Deborah Carr and husband, William H. Carr of Enterprise, Alabama, and mother and father-in-law, Leland G. and Mary Jo Channell of Montgomery, Alabama. He is also survived by one uncle, Bert Priest and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Association of Kidney Patients Inc., The American Heart Association, the American Cancer Association or your church.


Fox & Weeks Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

LOUISE JONES BRANCH

Louise Jones Branch, 78, of Tifton, died Sunday, September 25, 2005 at Tift Health Care.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at 11:00 p.m., at the First United Methodist Church in Tifton with the Rev. Ike Branch, the Rev. Calvin Bobo, and the Rev. Jerry Lillard officiating. Burial followed in Oakridge Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Harry Barrinean, Jim Champion, Bill Tucker, Deaton Coleman, Charles Kent, and Bob Bergeron. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Retired Teachers Association, the Christian Covenent Sunday School, and Circle #4 of the United Methodist Women of First United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Branch was born December 3, 1926, in Donalsonville, to Issac Bush (“Mr. Ike”) Jones and Louise Coachman Jones, both deceased. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Howell Branch, who died in April 2001, and a sister, Emma Ruth Roberts.
Mrs. Branch had lived in Tift County since the late 1940s and retired after teaching school for over thirty years. She graduated from Seminole County High School in 1944 where she was voted the “cutest” in her class. She then graduated from Georgia College for Women in Milledgeville, and also attended ABAC and Valdosta State University. She taught at Annie Belle Clark, Northside Elementary, Len Lastinger Elementary, T.C.D.I., and finished her career at Tiftarea Academy. She was the recipient of the Golden Deeds Award in 1999. Mrs. Branch was a member of First United Methodist Church, Tifton, Club 55, and the United Methodist Women Circle #4, the Christian Covenant Sunday School Class, and the Retired Teachers Association of Tifton.

Survivors include her children, Frank Edward (Ed) and Elaine Deese Branch of Tifton, and Isaac J. (Ike) and Debra Porter Branch of Leesburg; four grandchildren, Samuel D. (Sam) Branch and Natalie Dee Branch, both of Tifton, and Rebecca (Becky) Branch and Elizabeth (Beth) Branch, both of Leesburg; a nephew, James Cecil (Bubba) Roberts of Tifton; and several nieces.


Albritton-Beaumonth Funeral directors-Tiftarea Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
