MYRTICE NANETTE ALLEN


Mrs. Myrtice Nanette Allen, age 74 of Colquitt died Thursday, December 29, 2005 at Miller County Hospital.

Mrs. Allen was born July 10, 1931 in Miller County. She was a member of Colquitt First Baptist Church and was a dietitian retired from Bainbridge State Hospital.

Funeral services were held Monday, January 2 at 2:00 p.m. at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with the Rev. James Scarborough officiating. Interment followed in Macedonia Free Will Baptist Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Michael Phillips, Ray Henley, Billy Roland, Allen Pickron, John Shiver Jr., David Bracewell, and Rodney Jackson.

Survivors include two daughters, Elaine Amerison and husband, Milton, Jakin, Trish Ann Isacc, Milton, FL; two sons, Riley Phillips and wife Shirley, and Russell Lavon Phillips, both of Colquitt; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bennie Phillips and two grandchildren, Riley Phillips Jr. and Lore Phillips.



Colquitt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

WILLIAM THOMAS WALTON SR.

Mr. William Thomas Walton, Sr., 86, of Damascus, Ga passed away Friday, December 23, 2005 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Al. The funeral will be 3:00 PM Monday, December 26, 2005, at Damascus Methodist Church with Tommy Walton and Rev. Beverly McFadden officiating. Jamie West, Chase Henley, Jason Henley, Steven Middleton, Dustin Smith, and Troy Mock will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Damascus Cemetery.
Mr. Walton was born on January 10, 1919 in Early County. He was a retired farmer and a member of Damascus Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mary Walton of Damascus. Ga; three daughters, Sharon & son-in-law Gary West of Damascus, Iris & son-in-law Larry Collins of Decatur, Ala., and Estelle & son-in-law Richard Henley of Colquitt; one son, Tommy & daughter-in-law Leigh Ann Walton of Colquitt; one brother, Ira Walton of Colquitt; one sister, Agnes Okell’y of Vidalia Ga.; six grandchildren, Jamie & Vicky West, Jason West, Kristin & Steven Middleton, Chase Henley, Rea & Dustin Smith, and Wil Walton; and four great-grandchildren, Katlyn West, Charlie West, Ivey Pope, and Kate Pope.


Colquitt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
