SARAH DOROTHY HODGES
November 14, 1924 - October 26, 2005
Mrs. Sarah Dorothy Hodges, 80, of Donalsonville, GA passed away October 26, 2005 at Donalsonville Hospital. The funeral was at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 29, 2005 at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Radford Jones & Rev. Fletcher Sheffield officiating. Mike Skelton, Kalvin Kirkland, Ric Lannie, David Hodges, Mack Lane, and Jeremy Cassidy will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Colquitt City Cemetery. Mrs. Hodges was born November 14, 1924 in Miller Co. She was a sales clerk with Bills Dollar Store in Colquitt for many years and a former member of the Swap Gravy Cast in Colquitt. She was also a member of Colquitt Assembly Of God where she served as a Sunday School Teacher. She conducted a Bible Study Class at Miller Nursing Home and Colquitt Alternative Care. Mrs. Hodges is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Phil & Linda Hodges of Donalsonville; four daughters, Elaine Skelton & fiancee Lavelle Maye of Donalsonville, Delores Kirkland & son-in-law Haward of Colquitt, Cammy Morris & son-in-law Jesse of Valrico, FL, and Sheila Cassidy of Millbrook, Al.; one sister, Laverne Hemebry of Studio City, CA; two brothers, Gene Phillips of Lakeland, FL & Emory Phillips of Inverness, FL; eleven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hodges was preceded in death by her husband, William Herbert Hodges.

MICHELLE BAREFIELD ROACH
Mrs. Michelle Barefield Roach, age 29, of Bainbridge died Sunday, October 23, 2005 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany. Mrs. Roach was born January 12, 1976 in Headland, AL to Jessie Hilton Barefield and Pamela Whitaker Barefield. She was a homemaker and she was of the Church of God faith. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 25 at 11:00 a.m. at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel in Bainbridge with the Rev. Tim Mock officiating. Interment will follow in Gordon Cemetery in Colquitt. Pallbearers were Roger Whitaker, Charles Widner, Millard Shirley, Mark Newberry, Loren Rathel, and Jay Phillips. Survivors include her husband, Gary Roach, Bainbridge; son, Gary Roach Jr., Bainbridge; two daughters, Paige Roach, Brooke Roach, Bainbridge; three brothers, Jessie Barefield, Jr., Bainbridge, Greg Barefield, Dothan, AL, Jessie Kordera-Barefield, Headland, AL; five sisters, Elizabeth Freeman, Patricia Widner, Bainbridge; Kim Barefield, Kandee Barefield, Kris Barefield, Headland, AL; father and step-mother, Jessie and Brenda Barefield, Headland, AL; mother and step-father, and Pam and Gary Hurst,Bainbridge.

DIANE COOK WELLS
Mrs. Diane Cook Wells, age 50 of Colquitt died Sunday, October 23, 2005 at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville.
Mrs. Wells was born September 21, 1955 in Miller County. She was a member of Boykin Church of God and owned and operated Wells Service Station, along with her husband, John Edward.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Colquitt Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 26 at 3:00 p.m. at Boykin Church of God with the Rev. Virgil Perkins, the Rev. Roberts Johns, and the Rev. Steve Hardeman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Jospeh Cook, Taylor Lane, Tony Cook, Jeffrey Bevis, Timmy Mears, and Bob Eldridge.
The Miller County Volunteer Fire Department served as honorary pallbearers. Survivors include her husband, John Edward Wells, Colquitt; two daughters, Dana and Jeff Nunnery, Bainbridge, Leslie and Chad Brackin, Burlington, Vermont; one granddaughter, Emilee Nunnery, Bainbridge; mother, Costello Cook, Colquitt; one sister, Gail Pierce, Jakin; three brothers, Johnny Cook, Albany, Joe Cook, Colquitt, Jess Cook, Fountain, FL; and a large number of nieces and nephews.

FRANCES SMITH WEEKS
Frances Smith Weeks, 74, of Bainbridge, died Saturday, October 22, 2005 at Bainbridge Health Care.
Funeral services were held Thursday, October 27, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dewitt Phillips officiating. Mrs. Weeks was born May 3, 1931 in Virginia where she lived most of her life until moving to Decatur County in 1999. She worked as a seamstress and was of the Catholic Faith.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Wayne Weeks of Brinson, Allen Lane Weeks of Parker, AZ, and James Odell Weeks of Woodbridge, VA; three sisters, Catherine Yopp of Salem, Mildred Flinchum of Indian Valley, VA, and Mary Vest of Roanoke, VA; one brother, Howard Smith of Roanoke, VA; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clayton A. and Louannie Gallimore Smith.
