ROSELLA SHEFFIELD
Mrs. Rosella Sheffield, 84, of Colquitt, GA passed away February 24, 2005 in Miller County Hospital. The visitation was held Friday, February 25, 2005 from 7-9:00 PM at Colquitt Funeral Home. The funeral was held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 26, 2005 at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Harold Burrell & Rev. Joe Romigh officiating. Interment followed at Colquitt City Cemetery. Joel Grimes, Scott Grimes, Alan Sheffield, Todd Thornton, Ty Thornton, and Tim Thornton served as pallbearers. Donations may be made to Colquitt First Baptist Church Building Fund. Mrs. Rosella Sheffield was born February 21, 1921, Worth County, Ga. Mrs. Sheffield and her husband Counce Sheffield, Jr. owned and operated Sheffield Insurance Agency for 20 years in Colquitt. She was a member of the Colquitt First Baptist Church. She is survived by her two daughters, Cheryl & son-in-law R.L. Grimes and Elaine & son-in-law Jerry Thornton both of Colquitt; seven sisters, Alma Sheffield & Martha Hardy both of Colquitt, Katy Frazier of Covington,, Sara Thompson of Oroville, CA, Katrina Jones of Donalsonville, Edith Fynbu of Lincoln, NE, and Alice Dixon of Kingston Springs, TN; two brothers, Maurice Chapman of Colquitt and John Chapman of Arab, Al; eight grandchildren, Rhonda Calhoun, Alan Sheffield, Stephanie Beckham, Joel Grimes, Scott Grimes, Todd Thornton, Ty Thornton, and Tim Thornton; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Mrs. Sheffield was preceded in death by her husband, Counce Sheffield, Jr, one son, Emory Sheffield, one brother, Curtis Chapman, and a special aunt, Trudy Chapman.

WILLIAM LESLIE WIDNER
William Leslie Widner, 81, of Colquitt, died Tuesday, February 22, 2005 in Magnolia Manor Nursing Home in Americus. Funeral services were held Friday, February 25, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in Sheffield Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Aycock and Rev. John Bagwell officiating. Interment followed in Colquitt City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Steve Holt, Jack Holt, Wade Everson, Wayne Weeks, David Brasewell, and Joe Sloan. Mr. Widner was born July 1, 1923 in Miller County. He worked as a farmer and was a member of the Rocky Ridge Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Louvenia Widner of Colquitt; one daughter, Gail Thompson and husband Felix Lynwood of Blakely; three sons, Jerry Widner and wife Grace of Donalsonville, Broadus Widner of Juneau, AL, and Bobby Widner and wife Martha of Albany; one sister, Bessie Mercer of Forest Park; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

HENRY HARDEN
Henry Harden, 89, of Colquitt, died Tuesday, February 22, 2005 in Bainbridge Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held Thursday, February 24, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Robert Johns and Rev. Bob Knight officiating. Interment will follow in Bellview Free Will Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers were Chris Harden, Wes Harden, Albert Harden Jr., David Harden, Little Phil Harden, and Dale Powell. Mr. Harden was born January 20, 1916, worked as a farmer and of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include four sons, Troy Harden, Phillip Harden, both of Colquitt, Steve Harden and wife Sandra, and Dave Harden and wife Tara, both of Camilla; one daughter, Nita Edmonds of Iron City; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Harden and one son, Albert Harden.
