STEPHEN IVEY "STEVE" MCLENDON

Mr. Stephen Ivey, “Steve” McLendon, 50, of Colquitt passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m.. Friday, December 16, 2005 at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Robert Johns and the Rev. Tim Mock officiating. Interment followed at Donley Cemetery.

Hayes Bowen, Marlin Gibson, Wendell Mathis, Terry Clenney, Andy Moore, and Bobby Roberts will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. McLendon was born on August 5, 1955 in Seminole County. He owned and operated McLendon Welding Shop in Colquitt and attended Flat Creek Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy McLendon, Colquitt; two daughters, Ivey Renee McLendon and Halie Alyse McLendon, Colquitt; father and mother, Ross and Wynetta McLendon, Colquitt; one brother, Philip McLendon and sister-in-law, Nancy, McDonough; motherand father-in-law, Margie and Buren Whitaker, Colquitt; four brothers-in-law, Chris Donley, Craig Donley, Timmy Donley, and J. R. Donley, all of Colquitt; one sister-in-law, Sabrina Holt, Colquitt; and a large number of nieces and nephews.


Colquitt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

LOIS SELLARS DUNCAN

Lois Sellars Duncan, age 92, of Brinson passed away Sunday, December 11, 2005 at Bainbridge Memorial Manor.
Graveside service was held on Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at 11:30 AM at Brinson Baptist Cemetery in Brinson with Rev. Doug Harvey officiating.
Mrs. Duncan was born in Decatur County on August 26, 1913 to the late Claude and Alpha Drake Sellars. She was a retired waitress and a member of Brinson United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Duncan is survived by four sons Emory S. Williams and his wife Jennie of Tallahassee, FL; Earl A. Williams and his wife Debra of Richmond, VA; Darrell Williams and Stanley Williams both of Brinson; two brothers Horace Sellars of Tallahassee, FL and Oscar Sellars of Bainbridge. Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by Mixon Williams and Ralph Duncan; one daughter Dorothy Williams and two sons Kenneth Williams and Roy Williams


Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

ROCHELLE WHITTAKER TUCKER MOORE

Rochelle Whittaker Tucker Moore, age 69, of Donalsonville passed away on Monday, December 12, 2005 at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL.
Funeral services was held Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at 2:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Lewis officiating. Interment followed at Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Donalsonville.
Mrs. Moore was born in Seminole County on September 17, 1936 to Valeta Faircloth Whittaker and the late Emerson D. Whittaker. She was a retired restaurant owner and a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church.
She is survived by her mother, Valeta Whittaker; her husband, George Willard Moore; one son, Todd Tucker (Brooke) all of Donalsonville; one daughter, Tammy Daniel (Shane) of Rock Spring; five step-daughters, Tracy Moore of Dothan, AL; Wanda Crawford (Greg) of Ashford, AL; Samantha Moore of Ashford, AL; April Windham (Rocky); Juila “Doodle” Cole (Josh) both of Echo, AL; two brothers, Manious (Amelia) Whittaker of Donalsonville and E. J. Whittaker (Louise) of Dothan, AL; one sister, Shelvia Jean Payne (Roy) of Liberty, NC. Also survived by one grandchild, Cecily Tucker and five step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Tucker; one son, Danny Tuckeer and one brother, Elliott, Jr. “Cooter” Whittaker.
Pallbearers will be Jason Whittaker, Ronnie Tucker, Greg Whittaker, Jimmy Vaughn, Roger Brown and Allen Moore.
